Rundown Of The Runway!!!!!

I recently Rented the Runway for a fab fall wedding in Philly(see this post). Not familiar with RTW? Check them out here! For my first time, I must say I was quite impressed. The packaging, the arrival( I received my item on the date which it was promised--impressive), the customer service...Stellar!!! I wanted to be classy with a bit of edge, so I opted for this metallic, one-shoulder ditty, by Mark & James by Badgley Mischka! So hot and wish it would have worked, but unfortunately, I was a little too much for both sizes that I received in this dress. Note to self: do a little research and try on other dresses by the same designer before deciding on your rental! No worries, I was not discouraged! The keeper treats alone, will have me going back for more! Included in my rental, I received a keeper garment bag(nothing fancy, but functional), Hollywood Fashion Tape and other needed tricks and a nice sized, postage paid envelope for mailing back both dresses(they even let you order a second size for back up, free of charge). And the best part of all...Since I was unable to wear either dress, I spoke to a customer service agent, who was pleasantly, apologetic and assured me that I would receive a refund, not store credit, to my credit card, minus the shipping(15-20 bucks), which was just fine by me!!

I would totally do this again, and highly recommend it for all your upcoming holiday events: parties, weddings, gatherings, whatever! Why pay a mint for a dress that you may only wear once? Rent the Runway!!! But remember, every fashionista should have one go to, after-5 dress in their closet...Just in case!!! I settled for this dress that I purchased from Zara!!

Set It Off...Runway Style!!!!!

Happy New Year Fashionistas and Fashionistos!!! Hope 2010 is off to a great start for you and yours! I'm sure everyone has made their resolutions list and checking it twice...Me on the other hand, just living in the now and trying to do better than the day before. Babysteps...With that said, the beginning of a new year always means trying to save a dollar, especially after having spent your life's saving on holiday gifts (via presents and/or travel) whatever the case may be, money is tight, but you still want to look fashionably fabulous? Right? Well, I've got just the remedy for your under the weather wallet...Rent the Runway!!! Look fabulous and chic at a fraction of the cost! Why spend a mint on that Marc Jacobs frock, that you are only going to wear once or maybe even twice, when you can rent it, wear it, and move on to the next hot item of the month! Rent the Runway allows you to wear your favorite designer to that upcoming wedding, work event, or just a night on the town with that special guy or the gals, and return it with no strings attached. So here's the skinny...Peruse looks from designers like herve leger, catherine malandrino, helmut lang and alice + olivia, or search by occasion (birthday party, new years eve, winter wedding, meet the parents). choose your fave look in two sizes (at no extra cost) and pick the date you need the dress. rental fees range from $50 to $200 and you can have it from four to eight days. not sure if you're a haute hippie or just cavalli girl? rent a second designer for only an additional $25. new yorkers, take note; RTR will messenger it over to you the same day. after your date, shower or wedding, just put the dress into the provided envelope and pop it in a mailbox. the company will take care of all the dry cleaning. and look out for accessories, special designer capsule collections and a bridesmaid program in the future.

Are you convinced? Since I am a member of Julib, I was privy to an insiders invitation click on this link http://www.renttherunway.com/rtr/julib and you can be privy too!!!

Try it out and save a dime while Setting it Off in 2010~
