Showing Our Troops Some Love!!!!!!!!!!

Military inspired looks are on the fashion radar for Spring/Summer 2010!!! Think cadet jackets and cargo pants, more and army fatigue less(although, I have been seeing lots of fatigues from JCrew to Gap). Think green and khaki colored anoraks for Spring and bright yellow and fuchsia utility short shorts and shirt dresses for Summer! Here are some looks from the Gap, to keep you inspired, as you anxiously await the coming of warm weather. Some of us may even be welcoming home a loved one from their tour of duty...Why not salute them in style!!! Try a military inspired look today!!!!!!

Looking Good...Stud!!!!

Attention to details is what one thinks when they see what's hot and new in Spring footwear! Stud detailing is showing up on just about everything, just below the ankle! From booties to towering pumps and everything in between(I'm all about the in between, personally). My favorites come from the likes of DolceVita. They definitely have made their mark on this trend! Check out Neve, my favorite. Great details, with studs and zipper, flat, comfy...What more could one ask for in a shoe!! This shoe just might be my spring/summer staple!! It will go perfect with harem pants(sure to be making another appearance for spring and summer), boyfriend jeans, or high-waisted skirt! The looks are unlimited! Whatever you may choose to pair them with, you'll be looking good, girl!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do it in studded footwear!!!

Cut-It-Out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's next in eighties and nineties revivals?? Cut Out dresses! Cut Out dresses are making their way to a local retailer near you for Spring and Summer! Showing Some Skin could have been a great title for this blog, because that's what comes to mind when thinking about these hot little numbers! Halle Berry made this trend look hotter than hot, when presenting at this year's Golden Globes! She's so fabulous and her Kaufman Franco dress was more than fabulously-sexy!!! Go Halle! Taylor Swift rocked this trend quite well at the Grammy's in another K.F. dress...I'm thinking they are doing this trend quite well? Not really ready to spend Grammy money? Well, there are a few, more affordable designers, who have put a Cut Out in their collections: Try this look from Rachel Pally. Perfect for a Valentine's dinner outting with your special someone! Pair with a hot leather jacket from Anthro(on sale), opaque tights(it's 6 more weeks of winter) and a hot pair of wedges(loving these by Dolce Vita) and you're ready to Cut-Out, on the town!!!

Color Me Neurtral!!!!

As thoughts of Spring go looming through your head, you are most likely thinking of ways to liven up your wardrobe palette...Think again! This Spring think Neutral!!!! Earthtones, monochromatic, simplicity, all hues that work well in any closet! Think shades of beige, creams, ivory, and tan. Basic. Simple. Sweet...The Spring '10 collections of Lanvin, Miu Miu, and Ralph Lauren all featured simple, neutral shades, which can easily be transferred to the likes of Banana Republic and The Gap, for a more affordable twist on this sure to be staple for your Spring collection! And oh, did I mention how easy it is to mix bold brights with a simple shade of cream or ivory! Think a sprinkle of Hot Pink, for added dimension!!! Check out what I found at Shopbop and Anthro for starters or try doing a basic search for an array of neutral shades on Shopstyle.com! The selections are endless!!!
