Style on Wheels Update!!!!!!!

Sorry, it's been a minute since my last post! I can say we safely made it to and from to California and we covered lots of territory! In between time, I've been busy with work, birthdays, and even a family excursion to King's Dominion! Is it me, or are amusement parks ALWAYS 10 times hotter than any other place on the planet???? Got a nice tan, though and the kids thoroughly enjoyed-Win, Win!!! Well, as promised, I have an update to this post! I can say, the Styleliner was all that is was cracked up to be and to top it off, the founder/creator, was extraordinarily, personable and so darn cute!!! Joey greeted me with warm arms and we chatted it up like we were long, lost girlfriends! Doesn't that make for a pleasant shopping experience! I was impressed with her very cute mini dress, which she said she may start carrying on board-Super! I was also in love with the fact that most of the items online were also available on the RV! As of late, I am really having a nostalgic moment, as I have found myself drawn to a childhood fave-friendship bracelets! Oh, yes, they are back and if you were a child of the 80's and 90's, you totally know what I'm talking about!!! So, that is exactly what my purchase consisted of and rightfully so, since I felt like a friend was made!!! The Styleliner has departed the area, but you should definitely check it out if you are in the NYC or when it returns (Joey really enjoyed DC, so she will be back). Can't Wait!!! Enjoy my pics!!!

One Fall-Fabulous Color!!!

As fall approaches, my fashion eye can't help but take in all the fun, fall, vibrant colors!!! At the top of my list of Must Have Fall items...Orange Pants!!! I first caught a wonderful glimpse here, at a great blog Coco+Kelley! I am really loving the color orange as of late. It's so festive, bright, and warm! It looks great against most skin tones and pairs fantastically with fuchsias, emerald greens, and electric blues-all top colors for fall!  Try a cigarette pant like this one or go for a wide leg, like this one! At this point, I'm not really able to get into either style, but here's hoping for late fall and even early winter(baby weight blues). Until then, I hope to see some of my most stylish girlfriends, rocking some Orange!!!

So, I was in the city of brotherly love this past weekend for a wedding that was truly amazing!! Fun catching up and cutting up with good friends! In addition to having a great time on the dance floor, many a fashion trend was spotted and what a perfect opportunity for me to try one out too!!! While brunching on the trend-setting South Street(think Melrose Ave or Gtown) with great little boutiques and fabulous food, I not only tried out this trend, but spied some funky footwear while doing so! I have been most curious about trying out funky booties, with a slouchy trouser sock and this was the perfect time to experiment! I'm in love with the look: kinda sporty and chic all in one! I'm thinking I'm going to try it out few more times, as the fall weather permits!!! Heels on, toes out, and socks to top it all off...If you were wondering...shoes are Sam Edelman and socks are JCrew!!! Happy trendsetting!!!!

Little Skirt On The Prairie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This fall welcomes the return of the 90's!!! From combat boots(i.e.Dr. Marten's) to slouch socks(and yes, I still own two pair from the 90's...I have a problem letting go sometimes) to one of my fav's...the Prairie Skirt!!! Think less Laura Ingalls more Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen and Nicole Richie, all of whom work this trend quite effectively!!! I found some great floral takes and pleated numbers this weekend while cruising through Zara Georgetown! Here are some of the looks I loved! Not sure how to pull off this floor length trend??? Try keeping it simple on top, with either a fitted tee for early fall or try this oversized, boyfriend sweater(try stealing your boyfriend/hubby's), paired with a skinny belt and clog-booties(clog-blog coming soon). This is one look that most can pull off with ease, without taking it all the way back to the farm!!! Happy shopping!!!

Mini Dresses!!! As a follow up to the "short-shorts" edition, may I introduce the Mini!!! Again, great legs are not a requirement, but attitude and style are a must!! You've got the attitude, here comes the style!!! I'm loving the selection of mini-dresses featured here! The mini dress is the perfect look for a warm spring/summer day! And by far the easiest look to pull together: all you need is the right dress and a pair of ballet flats, glads(gladiator sandals) or go sky high with a fun wedge! For a night time look, pair this mini dress with a sheer hose and black pumps and your set for dinner and dancing!! This look works for all shapes and sizes!!! Forgiving and flattering, all in one!!

Mini's are just about everywhere this season! From shorty shorts(can you say Daisy Dukes?) to mini skirts!!! One might want to have a great pair of legs to work this look to perfection, but if not, fear not, you can still pull it off and remain in style! So, you may not have gym perfected thighs, I mean really, who does? That doesn't mean you are confined to knee covering shorts, nor does it mean that the only shorts you sport are around the house, while cleaning up on the weekends!! Show off those legs in some of these!!! Nordstrom has a great selection of shorts at all lengths! Not to mention, Jcrew has a fab selection of shorts that can be dressed up or done casually with flair! Pair a broken in pair of denim cut-offs, with your(my) favorite tee and gladiators and cardigan and your ready for the weekend!!!
