Style Inspiration!!!!!!!!!

For this month's style inspiration, I'm channeling men's wear! I have been eyeing lots of skinny jeans with blazers and oversized sweaters, so I'm thinking of some cool, comfy, chic ways to put these pieces together without looking to over done! Here's what I came up with...Try pairing JBrands Antique Twill(so comfy and soft) with an oversized cardigan(both featured here can be found at Anthro and JCrew and on Sale), with a pair of patent oxfords by Madewell! This look screams men's wear, but with a hint of femininity! I always love pairing generous tops with well fitting bottoms. It's a most flattering look for almost any figure! It's getting chilly out there, and if you're like me, not quite ready to throw on a winter coat, try an oversized sweater!

Spotlight on Steven Alan!!!!!

Ok, so I may be a little late on the scene, but I am just finding out about a fabulous clothing and accessory outlet by the name of Steven Alan!!! I stumbled upon the boutique while on vacay in L.A. I spotted a very cute pair of Matt Bernson gladiator sandals and I just had to have them and to my surprise they were what...On Sale!!!!!!!!! Once I did some surfing of the site, I was hooked. The look is very eclectic, trendy, of the moment, fashion forward. Not your everyday dress and pants here. If you want to stand out from the rest, Steven Alan is the place for you. Boutiques are located in L.A. and NYC. I highly recommend!

Try throwing on a men's wear inspired, alternative to a jacket...The Blazer!!!!!!!!! The Blazer continues to be a hot commodity for your fall '09 wardrobe. Truly a staple, the Blazer can be paired with a fabulous frock, boyfriend/husband jeans, or try one paired with a long cardigan, leggings, and knee high boots(blog soon to come) for a chic, comfy, girl about town, look! Be on the look out for traditional, black blazers with pinstripe lining (my fav, goes with just about any look) or non-traditional looks like metallics, terry, and even denim(Steven Alan has a great one).
