Mommy Getaway!!!!!

Take the Train!

Mommies need fun getaways too, right? Well, I was granted a day pass to meet my Ladybugs in Philly for dining, shopping, and fellowship and of course I couldn't leave without grabbing a cheese steak! So I caught the train (the best way in my opinion to go); super fast, easy, and relaxing! I caught up on some much needed magazine/fashion therapy and enjoyed the scenery. Very nice! Once I made it in, me and the ladies hit the ground running! So great and I even tried out my new favorite pants-Halogen palazzo. They were the perfect traveling pant and the ladies loved them! Didn't get too much shopping in, but Walnut street was full of great shops and I did dash into Anthro and it was amazing, at least the sale section and shoes were! I will definitely be returning to the city of Brotherly Love in the Spring! Oh, and if you are planning a trip soon, check out Alma de Cuba! We dined here and the atmosphere and food were great! Good music too! The bathroom could stand a makeover, hopefully that's in the works!! Enjoy my photo outtakes!

Happy President's Day!!! I just love a day off from work, although as it stands right now, there are no such things as a day off being a MOT(Mom Of Two). It's all love and I wouldn't have it any other way, trust me! Whew! I have been missing in action and I hope to return with a vengeance to the world of blogging. It's just been a little busy these days and its much easier to read other people's blogs and find out what's going on in the world of fashion food and all other things! However, I couldn't resist highlighting one of my favorite trends for Spring-Florals!!! Floral+Denim=a very chic, fun, yet trendy combination! I first saw the 7 for all mankind Garden Party skinnies here and I fell, hard!!! I quickly became a woman on a mission and being the super sleuth that I am, I tracked them down in L.A. no less, but they were sold out in the size I hope to soon be! So, I convinced myself that they were a trend I was going to have to live without and I went on the quest for others that were similar-check out what I found below! But, that just didn't sit right with me; I was determined to find the originals and I did, well sort of...I currently have a preorder awaiting at revolveclothing.com. They are due to come in late March, which is perfect for me because Spring will be rearing its lovely head(hopefully) and it gives a girl on a budget time to save-Score!!! Spring is all about Flowers in Bloom! Stay tuned for my wide-leg floral pants by Halogen- I think they may be my new favorite pants!

A Little Piece of Me...

cover of Whitney Houston's eponymously titled 1985 breakout album
The First and Very Best Album
A little piece of me went missing Saturday evening when I learned the tragic, unbelievable news of the passing of an icon, a mom, a daughter, a musical angel, Whitney Elizabeth Houston. Ms. How Will I Know, Saving All My Love, I Wanna Dance With Somebody, Greatest Love of All, will for ever be a positive memory implanted in my mind. I can recall playing How Will I Know on my first little, blue record player, in my yellow room, dancing around, singing into my microphone; her stardom had already made its mark on me and continued to do so with more of my favorites: I'm Your Baby Tonight, the best national anthem to date and the best remake to date: I'm Every Woman! Truly one of the best there was, gone too soon and forever she will be missed! I love you Whitney!!!
