Introducing Francoise Olivas...Concious Threads!

A co-worker recently introduced me to her daughter's new, eco-friendly, clothing line. Francoise Olivas dresses have global appeal and fuses fashion with passion for the environment. Here's a little info about her:

Francoise Olivas is a native Washingtonian, who started out in a field that like so many of us, was not her true passion. As she traveled the globe, she happened upon many cultures and ideas, which led to her find a career in fashion...With a purpose. The Francoise Olivas brand is a harmonious blend of form and fit, emotion and color, excellence of artistry and inspired originality. Our collection gives a nod of respect and appreciation to the diversity of cultures in our world, while extending a social, economic, and environmental handshake.

Francoise Olivas comes highly recommended and received rave reviews from my fashion forward co-workers! Her dresses have intricate details and lady like appeal. Im excited to say that you too will have a chance to check out the line first hand, as she will be launching her Etsy site, as well as hosting a summer sample sale on July 25, 2009: Eco Designer Francoise will be hosting a Summer Sale and Fall 2009 Preview Trunk Show, July 25, 11am-5pm, at De La Ines Salon, 5520 Connecticut Avenue, Washington, DC 20015, 202.362.4280. Summer items will be 20% to 50% off. She will also be bringing one-of-a-kind pieces for the event, which is open to the public.
Ms. Olivas will also be talking about the, ‘I wear NY,’ movement in NYC’s Garment Center. The eco designer is part of a collective of young designers working to preserve the
fashion capital of the USA.
