If you are planning to be in the DC metro area from now until March 2, 2008, you should definitely check out the exhibit "Let Your Motto Be Resistance"...African American potraits. Now being shown at the National Portrait Gallery downtown on 8th and F St NW. It is a wonderful exhibit featuring the works of esteemed photographers which include, James VanDerZee, Carl Van Vechten, and Gordon Parks. The exhibition features African Americans in the arts, sports, entertainment, and politics. It is a fantastic piece of work and the museum is pretty fabulous too!!! Make a day of it and have a latte in the atrium cafe!!! It's FrEE and worthy of being Checked out!!!!
