Although, it hardly seems rational to talk about warm and fuzzy blankets, when the weather is warm and balmy, one should be prepared for the cold-spell that will inevitably show its chilly face! This must have Winter accessory is great paired with skinny cargos, wide-legged jeans, or over a dress! Get ready for the cold--and don't forget your Blanket...Sweater that is.

Rundown Of The Runway!!!!!

I recently Rented the Runway for a fab fall wedding in Philly(see this post). Not familiar with RTW? Check them out here! For my first time, I must say I was quite impressed. The packaging, the arrival( I received my item on the date which it was promised--impressive), the customer service...Stellar!!! I wanted to be classy with a bit of edge, so I opted for this metallic, one-shoulder ditty, by Mark & James by Badgley Mischka! So hot and wish it would have worked, but unfortunately, I was a little too much for both sizes that I received in this dress. Note to self: do a little research and try on other dresses by the same designer before deciding on your rental! No worries, I was not discouraged! The keeper treats alone, will have me going back for more! Included in my rental, I received a keeper garment bag(nothing fancy, but functional), Hollywood Fashion Tape and other needed tricks and a nice sized, postage paid envelope for mailing back both dresses(they even let you order a second size for back up, free of charge). And the best part of all...Since I was unable to wear either dress, I spoke to a customer service agent, who was pleasantly, apologetic and assured me that I would receive a refund, not store credit, to my credit card, minus the shipping(15-20 bucks), which was just fine by me!!

I would totally do this again, and highly recommend it for all your upcoming holiday events: parties, weddings, gatherings, whatever! Why pay a mint for a dress that you may only wear once? Rent the Runway!!! But remember, every fashionista should have one go to, after-5 dress in their closet...Just in case!!! I settled for this dress that I purchased from Zara!!

So, I was in the city of brotherly love this past weekend for a wedding that was truly amazing!! Fun catching up and cutting up with good friends! In addition to having a great time on the dance floor, many a fashion trend was spotted and what a perfect opportunity for me to try one out too!!! While brunching on the trend-setting South Street(think Melrose Ave or Gtown) with great little boutiques and fabulous food, I not only tried out this trend, but spied some funky footwear while doing so! I have been most curious about trying out funky booties, with a slouchy trouser sock and this was the perfect time to experiment! I'm in love with the look: kinda sporty and chic all in one! I'm thinking I'm going to try it out few more times, as the fall weather permits!!! Heels on, toes out, and socks to top it all off...If you were wondering...shoes are Sam Edelman and socks are JCrew!!! Happy trendsetting!!!!

Living In A Bubble!!!!!!!!

The Bubble Coat is a staple for any late Fall/early Winter wardrobe! My attention has been on an Italian classic: Moncler! This month's Harper's Bazaar features a fabulous spread(see pages 107-112) and article about this cult classic(and certainly inspiration amongst the masses of bubble/puffy coat retailers). Im in love with the feminine tailoring and slick color palettes, of these, break your bank, bubbles! As you can probably guess, I'm not so in love with the retail cost (over $1000 bucks can get you one), however I did do little research and found this site, which offers them at a steep discount and I'm sure one could keep an eye out at Bergdorf's or Saks and snag one on sale in the off season! Still not convinced and want the look for less...Try this and this!
