Spring Vacation Recap!!!!!!!!!!!

Santa Monica Pier

Did you miss me??? I know I have been MIA for a few days, well a week, but for good reason! My family and I were on a Spring Vacation to my homeland of Los Angeles and then off to Vegas for a Very Special Vegas Wedding, Baby!!! And, my baby made his debut as the ring bearer du jour!!! (And he did a good job, too). Yes, I was in LaLa land and made it to all my favorite eateries, including In an; Out, Fatburger, and Roscoe's and even worked in a new spot, that was quite delish: Paul Martin's in El Segundo( which is truly the new it area in town). If you make it there, be sure and try the Linguine with Prawns...OH MY Lord, it was divine! My hubby and I also managed to work in a trip to the LA Zoo with our fabulous 2 year-old and Santa Monica Pier (I also checked out the new outdoor shopping center too--very nice, worth checking out). Then we were off to Vegas, where we stayed in the bright and attractive City Center at the Aria(rooms were fab, but the vanilla pumping through the lobby/casino drove me nuts, could be the pregnancy, but mostly it was just over the top). If you are all about the high-end retail, then City Center is for you! And if you are getting hitched anytime soon, and you want a Vegas wedding minus all the glitz and lights, you should definitely check out the Springs Preserve(which is where my friend's wedding was held--BEAUTIFUL and unexpected for Vegas). It was an amazing, relaxing, tummy-filling trip! Makes me want to be on Spring Break at least once a month!!!

Before signing off, I have to send out a great big ol' congratulations to the newlyweds, Dyan and Derrick! It was a perfect affair and we wish you all the best in Love and Life as you venture into the journey of Marriage together!

New Discoveries: Pixie Market!!!!

So, I was surfing the net, looking for a Richard Ruiz tunic and low and behold I discovered a fresh, new website: Pixie Market http://www.pixiemarket.com/. It reminds me a lot of Le Train Bleu in that it offers eclectic, underground designers, with a definite eye for all things fashion! Think glam chic or urban outfitters with a spin!!!! Kinda grundge, kinda vintage, all fashion forward!!! Pixie Market also has two retail outlets, one in NYC and the other in L.A. I will definitely be checking out the L.A. post when I am in town! Some of the designers featured include: Robert Ruiz(see recent blog), By Zoe, Maria Bonita Extra( Brazil's finest) and many more! It's definitely worth checking out, not to mention the great sale they have going on as we speak or blog!!!! I just love new discoveries...Don't you?

Sprinkle Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking for a yummy treat to satisfy your sweet-tooth??? Look no further than L.A.'s Sprinkles Cupcakes!!!!! The delictable delights are a tasty treat and worth all the wait! My husband and sister stood in line for, well, let's just say a ridiculous amount of time and the husband did have a few words to say, but when he bit into the Red Velvet cupcake, all negative thoughts went out the window!!! Needless to say we brought a few back with us on the plane and they are hard to resist! Cupcakes are all the rave these days. From birthdays to weddings, cupcake towers are a great alternative to the traditional tiered cakes. Sprinkles cupcakes are simple, yet filled with flavored and you can go online http://www.sprinklescupcakes.com/ and vote for a Sprinkles to come to your city next!!!! So next time you are in L.A. be sure to stop in or vote now for Sprinkles to be the next delight in your city!!!!!

Westside Connections

Hey everyone! Just got back from my hometown...The LA, FlossAngeles, Cali, West-Side, whatever you wanna call it! Had a blast as usual visiting with family and friends. Did some shopping. Did some eating...well did lots of shopping and lots of eating and discovered some hidden gems while doing so(thanks cuzzin Will B.) Next time you are in L.A. you might want to definitely hit up the following: Shintaro Sushi and The Bar Bar both located in Hot Hollywood!

Shintaro had the best sushi (and I'm not that into sushi) and they had this one tuna dish prepared on hot stone...Taste like Chicken!!! It was yummy!!! After sushi and Saki, check out The Bar. This spot has quietly become our spot for a drink and meeting up with my cuz. There is no cover, drinks are good, ambiance is laid back, real California style! One thing, fella's should definitely wear pants, other than that you re set for some good eats and good drinks next time you re in SoCal!
